Loved this little café! Aleksandra was so sweet and welcoming to everyone. The coffee was excellent. We had just finished a heavy meal, so I didn’t get to try the pastries. They looked amazing, and I’ll definitely be coming back another time for breakfast.
We were visiting as tourists and wanted to try a local independent coffee cafe. This one came up on a Google search (but not in the European coffee trip app) so we gave it a try… it was very small where we entered but we were pointed to the upstairs to sit and be served. It was so nice and cozy upstairs. Really cool space. Their menu is all espresso based drinks with typical Italian style blend of robusta and arabica. I enjoyed my Americano and the others in our group enjoyed their drinks as well. We also tried a blueberry cake which was very good. Definitely recommend!
I came back 2 days in a row to order some coffee and breakfast. The coffee was a bit plain compared to other places we got in Switzerland. The quiche was ok. I typically don't add salt to my food - someone the doctor told me has to increase the salt, but i have to add for this, so you can imagine. Soup was good( soup of the day was cauliflower ). The service is prompt and the coffee shop is cute although small.
Petit Royal is a lovely, cozy cafe in Zermatt. They had some excellent vegan and naturally gluten-free options clearly marked. We noted the 'Banana Bread (Vegan. Lukewarm and Naturally free from Gluten)' and the 'Blueberry cake (With dark chocolate and blueberry filling. Vegan, naturally free from Gluten)'. We chose the Blueberry Cake and it was absolutely delicious! To drink, we enjoyed a hot apple and ginger “homemade tea” and a cold elderflower, lemon, & mint “homemade lemonade”. The staff were friendly, though service was a little unhurried. So, if you're in a rush, ordering to go is a good tip. We had the time to relax, so it was a very pleasant visit.
Tucked away in the charming heart of Zermatt, this café is a hidden jewel where every bite feels like a love letter to Swiss craftsmanship. The homemade croissants are golden, flaky perfection, the pastries are delicate and artful, and the Italian hot chocolate is simply sublime, it is rich, velvety, and unforgettable. It’s a place that doesn’t just serve food, it offers an experience, warm and welcoming, with a quiet elegance that lingers long after your visit. Celia is wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. Daniela has to be one of the nicest people I've ever met. Don't miss your opportunity to have this experience in Zermatt.
I really enjoyed the coffee there! The flavor was rich and smooth, honestly, one of the best I had during our trip. Truly delicious. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a good cup of coffee in Zermatt!
This small cafe in the heart of Zermatt was so amazing that I thought to write a review. Their pastries, coffee, hot chocolate everything was so so good. They have a small but cozy sitting area. We Ordered Hot chocolate, budapest cake, strawberry cheese case, Apries ski drink and we loved each and everything. This place in zermatt is highly recommended.
